A-Ha! Praha!

PRAGUE!

Our trip to the sixth-most visited city in Europe will be the first for both Erik and I.  It was always on my "to-do in Europe" list, but, somehow, I ran out of time and money.  My priorities were a slightly different then ... I chose many pints and my flatmates in London over one last long weekend away.  If given the choice, I would not change a thing.  We are very excited about this leg of our trip as it will be the first time we will truly explore together .... we will use Erik's sense of direction and my high tolerance for alcohol to navigate this wonderful place.

Erik deserves some credit here, as I've found he is one savvy accomodations hunter.  He manages to search ten different websites to find the best price and as close to my preferred destination as he can get.  I sit close by, watching and "heckling" as he calls it, while I remind him this is our "once in a lifetime" chance ... why not spend a little more and be right in the thick of it all.  He re-sets the search criteria and BOOM ... always finds just the right spot.

The Hotel Sonata is where we will stay for three fabulous nights in Prague!  Perfect in price and location. Job well done, E!

There are many reasons to be excited about touring this loved-by-so-many city.  It's the largest and the capital city of the Czech Republic, offering much to see and much to do.  Many reasons to go and many, for me anyway, reasons to stay?????  Here are a few highlights.....

1) The Charles Bridge

2) Prague Castle

3) Prague Jewish Quarter Josefov

Clearly, I could go on... but we will wait to share OUR pictures, OUR stories and OUR adventure!

The plan:  one way tickets from London's Heathrow to Prague on Saturday.  A very early flight in London means a very early morning wake up call - that, I remember.  But, that just means more time in lovely Prague!

A-Ha to Praha!

Cheers,
Kate & Erik
